How to Apply a Vaginal Moisturizer

What vaginal moisturizers are used for:

Vulvar Dryness

When we experience hormonal shifts, like we do postpartum (more significant with breastfeeding) or during menopause or at different times of our cycles, we can deal with vulvar dryness as a result.

Pain with Intercourse

With dryness, we can also experience less "give" to the tissues including the pelvic floor muscles. This plus increased friction can lead to pain with penetration.

Loss of Tissue Elasticity

This is the "give" we mentioned. There is a natural plumpness or elasticity to our tissues. When we lose some of the moisture within the tissues, we can see a decrease in the fullness of the labia.
